Prerequisites and Certification

To enroll in the program, applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic computer skills for the online components. Upon successful completion of the course requirements with a grade of C or better, students can request a Lehman College program certificate. Additionally, graduates are encouraged to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) certification exam to become Certified Phlebotomy Technicians (CPT). However, the NHA exam fees are not included in the course tuition.

  • Phlebotomy II (PLB 102 / 17 sessions / 50 hours/ Hybrid)
  • CPR: BLS with AED for Healthcare Providers (CPR 100/ 2 sessions/ 6 hours / Hybrid)
  • First Aid: AHA Certification (recommended) (MAS17/ 1 session/ 3 hours/ In-Person)

Lehman College also offers a Patient Care Technician Program for CNAs, requiring additional courses and a tuition of $1,535 (excluding exam fees).
